General Terms of Investment
Our typical Investor Members’ collective investment varies widely, but is generally in the range of $50,000 to $1,000,000 per deal, depending upon the number of Investor Members that are interested in the deal.
Businesses soliciting investment from Investor Members must have a detailed business model.
Requirements of Investment Opportunities
Angel Investors Anonymous imposes a number of requirements upon companies that choose to accept investments from members. Among those requirements are:
- Interested investors will pool resources and form separate entities to invest in your opportunity. Those entities may require you to pay the cost of the investor LLC’s tax return. Individual investors are responsible for the cost of their individual tax returns.
- All Companies must complete its tax return by March 15th of the following year and must provide investors with K-1 or similar documents within 5 days thereof. This allows Investor Members ample time to complete their individual returns.
- All companies must provide specific reports to investors on a monthly basis. The investors dictate the content of these reports.
Investment Opportunity Scorecard
Investment opportunities will be scored according to the Investment Opportunity Scorecard. While AIA will not agree to execute Nondisclosure Agreements at the submission phase, AIA will ensure the confidentiality of information presented to any third party reviewer. The use of the scorecard helps Members to compare opportunities; however, the decision to invest is at the sole discretion of the Members.
